A little more than fifty years has past since Martin Luther King, Jr. made the famous “I Have a Dream Speech” during the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom.
In remembrance of King’s fight against racial inequality, we took a look at the numbers of how much the country has progressed and also how much work may still need to be done.

While King fought for equality of all races, this data visual will primarily look at the progress among African Americans.
How much progress do you think we’ve made towards racial equality? Tell us in the comments or in a blog post.
